ELTEKSMAK is located in one of Turkey’s most important textile centers, in Denizli on an 20 thousand square meters closed producing area. While Leaving behind 25 years as a successful result of studies and gained experience, ELTEKSMAK received strong demand from the sector companies and took the decision of investment of 40 million turkish lira.
Specialized in the production of textile fabric pre-treatment, and finishing machines and the parts of these machines, the company has its Denizli Head Office and factory, as well as its branches in Istanbul, Bursa, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Egypt, USA, China, Indonesia. It continues its services through its dealers in many countries.
ELTEKSMAK, which is a family business and creates employment for 150 people with its institutionalized structure and professional management approach, will add new colleagues after their new investments of 40 million to the ELTEKSMAK family in a period where many companies are unemploying workers.

We wanted to share the success story of the POSLU family, which we have had the opportunity to work on many issues for years and witnessed many successes, with our valuable readers by listening to them.
After Mehmet POSLU, the Founding President of the company, General Coordinator Eyüp POSLU, Technical Coordinator Ekrem POSLU Commercial Coordinator Emrah POSLU, and ELTEKSMAK clarified many issues about the new periods investments.
Our talk that we started with Eyüp POSLU, the General Coordinator of ELTEKSMAK, begins as always in a relaxed and conversational atmosphere.
ELTEKSMAK has decided to invest 40 Million ₺. Could you give information about the investment subject and the success story of your company since its establishment?
ELTEKSMAK was founded in 1994 by Mehmet POSLU, our Chairman of the Board of Directors, who has been in the textile industry since the 1970s.
The first aim of our company is to try to meet the needs of the businesses in the region where it is located. In the following periods, it continued on its way as a company that first responded to national and international needs, and it also develops its sales and product range day by day. The development of these markets has led us to develop a wide variety of fabric types and special processes and machines for these types. Elmego and Elnino branded Continuous Tumbler, Vaporessa branded fixing and steaming machines, special washing for polyester blankets and carpets, belt curing and 4400 mm wider width stenter machines were born in response to these needs and still continue to develop.
Until the early 2000’s, ELTEKSMAK company focused on quality and flawless production, entered into joint cooperation with its customers, and worked on the development of the machines it produced. Especially after successful R&D studies until 2004, it has presented the machines needed by the sector to the whole textile industry with a wide promotion and marketing organization. Our company, which has been producing only for its customers for nearly 8 years, came close to Denizli’s Organized Industrial Zone in 2002 and continued to grow in this location. Beside trade magazines and fairs, domestic as well as in overseas, giving marketing efforts and representations, ELTEKSMAK became a global company and reached so 2010, then from 2011 on it became one of Turkey’s and the world’s best companies in its field. “In 2014, we laid the first foundations of the factory where we produce today, just behind our existing factory and started to respond to the demands from the relevant sector by increasing the capacity.”
Eyüp POSLU continued his explanations by saying that “Especially my brothers Mr.Ekrem POSLU and Mr.Emrah Poslu took an active role in the company and professional management was started in our business; ELTEKSMAK company has moved to a new era by keeping the personal characteristics and training of all of us in the foreground by making “division of labor”.
Investments have been completed in the entire infrastructure and machinery park of our factory, where we continue our current production with a closed area of 20.000 m2. With the increasing of serious demands recently, we continue to invest in an additional 5000 m2 closed area and advanced technology in metal processing machinery that increase the production speed and precision until the end of the second quarter of 2021. In addition to the growth, R&D and P&D departments have been established and started active work. In 2020, which is a very challenging year, all its targets have been achieved and even exceeded more than 20%. It continues to maintain the reliability and prestige of the name ELTEKSMAK, which is always our priority, not only to sell machines to its customers, but to add value to its products.
So when did Eyüp POSLU start to take an active role in the company?
In fact, the foundation year of our company was the year I graduated, and I started to take an active role in the company as much as the conditions at that time and my professional competence at that time. Frankly, I started from zero point. We were a new company and when we look at the passage of time, I grew up with ELTEKSMAK.
Today, ELTEKSMAK is one of the most important brands in the production of textile machinery in our country. Do you think the secret to success is to be a family business?
In general, there are many family companies that are very successful or not. Family businesses, of course, have many advantages. Apart from the fact that family members are only family members in their internal duties, I think companies with family member managers who are assigned according to their individual training and professional competence, can be fairly audited and evaluated with their duties, like every employee, are more successful. However, family members that work in the company because they are only a family member and work inadequate and uncontrolled in terms of vocational and education with emotional decisions, enter into an unsuccessful and unstable process over time.
The secret of our success is that we know the industry and the expectations of the sector, the problems and solutions in the machines with our experience of more than 25 years, and we continue to learn what we do not know day by day and depend on the expansion of our knowledge and experience library. As a production philosophy, we only specialized in the work we know best. Today, ELTEKSMAK company has been successful in producing products of those we have high knowledge and we believe we can develop instead of producing a wide variety of machines. Another factor is our professional management approach. We are a family business, but not only for 4 people, we are a giant family business with all employees, suppliers, outsourcing providers and even customers.
Well, ELTEKSMAK produces in a total area of 25 thousand square meters and 20 thousand of which is closed. What are the factors that drive you to new investments while many others reducing their capacity?
As ELTEKSMAK, we left our 25th year behind and entered the second quarter century. We have been progressing within the scope of a certain plan and program, not rushing in investment and growth plans, implementing everything whenever and whenever the time has passed.
For example, until 2002, ELTEKSMAK did not participate in any fairs, and did not give announcements or statements to any sectoral publications. Even its export was limited. All of this had a planned cause. When our customer satisfaction reached the level we have determined in the machines we manufacture, that was the turning point for us. In other words, we have made investment decisions not only with ambition to sell, but also when we are ready for our sales and after-sales services.
While increasing our capacity to 20,000 m2 in 2014, we faced similar questions. At that time, we were the first company in Anatolia to produce in such an area and infrastructure in our industry. There were also a few companies in the Thrace region. The decisions we made that day were part of a planned investment that could offer long-term solutions and were the first steps to growth. We were sure of our products, technology and solutions offered by our company. As a result of the decisions we made that day, we are one of the biggest textile machinery suppliers and exporters of not only Denizli but also of our country.
Our machines create awareness from design to technology. As our satisfied customers and repeat orders increase, as new customers and markets emerge, we gain confidence and are able to make bolder investment decisions even in the most difficult times. While they were pleased not only ELTEKSMAK is the winner, also Denizli and Turkey are.
This is where ELTEKSMAK made a bold decision in a period when everyone was turning to savings and was not spending money, and was able to invest its gains from the sector again for the sector.
I would like to mention R&D Studies and designs specific to your company. ELTEKSMAK has received two awards at the Ministry of Science and Technology Design Awards in recent years. Can you tell us a little bit about these?
In fact, the answer to this question is in the company’s Technical Coordinator Mr. Ekrem POSLU, who also coordinates R&D and Design at ELTEKSMAK. He makes all his R&D and Design studies and award-winning designs himself with his team formed from Turkey and abroad.
In our sincere and chatting conversation, we immediately direct our question to Mr. Ekrem POSLU. He takes us to the R&D & Design department, which no one has seen and which is almost his second home. It is a very well designed, quiet, comfortable and spacious place away from production stress and chaos. A place where many mechanical engineers and designers would dream of working. A warm and wonderful environment for full projects, design and R&D.
The answer to our question is from Ekrem POSLU, which we are not used to seeing in sectoral publications.
“The place you see is the R&D & design department of our business. All machines and components produced by ELTEKSMAK have been designed and developed here with an expert engineer staff consisting of 10 people. For days, we are doing R&D designs of machines that are unique to ELTEKSMAK and that will be mass production of the future and existing machines without even going to our homes. “Our aim is to produce ergonomic machines with higher quality and more functional features, as well as adding color to our customers’ working environments with stylish designs.”
Ekrem POSLU continuing his explanations, “ELTEKSMAK, since its establishment, has always produced unique products without imitation or copying in the last 26 years and continues to do so. These designs and products have started a new era in the textile machinery industry. As you have just mentioned in your question, we have received many awards for our designs that create awareness. In fact, it is to produce products with high added value for our country, which is greater than receiving an award and is an honor for us. Our aim is to make our country a country that is not imitating but imitated in the production of textile machinery.
I would like to touch upon the domestic and international demands that led you to capacity increase and 40 million lira investment. Could you give information about your marketing activities?
As Mr. Eyüp POSLU stated at the beginning of our interview, Emrah POSLU immediately assumes our responsibility within the scope of professional management and well-drawn task distribution.
“We have 8 people directly connected to our company, our representatives in the field and a sales and marketing staff of almost more than 50 people. Additionally there are colleagues who assist this group. Apart from Denizli Factory and head office, we serve Russia and Turkic Republics as well as Uzbekistan with offices in Istanbul, Bursa and Uzbekistan in the domestic market. We have a wide marketing network through our dealers and representatives in many countries on 4 continents such as Egypt, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, Brazil, USA. While exporting to more than 30 countries around the world, we introduced hundreds of textile manufacturers with ELTEKSMAK quality. With the pleasure they got, we created an employment area while earning foreign currency to our country. Today, the trust of our customers and the increasing demands from them have been effective while making an investment decision of 40 million lira. We provide added value. As long as they are satisfied with us and our machines, these investments will continue to increase.
